    What is it like living so close to La Republique de France [^]. If you are not careful Erudite_Eric might be tempted back to the hallowed shores.

    Sort of a cross between Lawrence of Arabia and Dilbert.[^]

        If England was not an island, these people would live in France and work in England. From what the article states, the only reason why they left France was for business and careers. Which is understanble: What else would they leave France for England for ?

                  No - it has two land bridges to Civilisation. One to the north, and one to the west.

                    Britain is the Bridge between the two great powers of the world economy. To the East is Germany, to the West, North and South Canada. The Centre of the World, the Meridian, an Island Nation that ruled the world and left a legacy of Language, Culture, Trade and Freedom.

                                    Thats what countries did, had had done for hundreds of years (and a lot still would given half a chance) We were just very good at it, had we not it would have been France or Germany or Russia or Holland or Italy or Spain or Mongolia etc etc and before you say that doesnt make it right, it also doesnt mean that by the standards of the time that is was wrong
