I'd like to throw a question out there to Mac users... I've just watched the latest keynote from WWDC 2012 and wonder what other people thought of the new features in "Mountain Lion"? Is this a 'Major' release? Is this a bridging OS that brings desktop and laptop based users closer to the mobile iOS users, with a view to merging the two systems? Will the 2013 iMac be a retina display based, touch screen system running iOSX? I think I can see where this is going, but what do you think? The new 15" MBP has a higher resolution than my 27" iMac, and this is great if they carry this over to all Apple computers, but should we have one OS for all Apple devices or should we separate phones and tablets from computers? Danny

I think think that "touch" thing works nicely with desktop computer, you just don't want to have to have your arm always up in the air "clicking" the screen. What is interesting, is that Apple just merge the 2 technologies, tablets and laptop via the touchpad on the laptop. They were able to experiment and tweek the UI behavior with the iPad and were able to port some of the best application/tools to the laptops because the touchpad on the Mac is multitouch and works the same way the iPad works. As for the OS itself, it's a good OS from the user's point of view, it just works and is stable, but it takes some time getting used to it coming from Windows (also true the other way around); I use both and have no problem whatsoever. I think Apple is just on the edge of deciding if they still want or need to build desktop computers (iMac or Mac Pro), Me think they will keep the iMac and ditch the Mac Pro.

I hope it will not be a touch screen; but I hope and expect to have it shipped with the "magic trackpad" instead (or in conjunction) of the mouse, so you will have the same input mechanism on the iMac that you have on your laptop. M.

      Watched code never compiles.
