I regularly need to cleanup my desktop with number of icons almost filles it in a space of 2 weeks.Mostly work related files and tools and shortcuts. Do you keep your desktop clean or let it get filled with as many icons as it can ?

7 rows with 14 icons per row - each row is organized by function (system, office tools, development tools, image processing, video processing, network tools, misc) I use IconLock [^] to keep the desktop from getting scrambled
