Now this was strange I never hade any partition of WIN95 installed on this baby?? And why did not XP pro started?? I solve this problem by repering the XP with the CD and everything is okey now but I am preaty confused?? I runned a virus scan on my HD and the only virus it found was Nimda.. Jarek G Can nimda do this?? Yup. Why the hell aren't you running AV software? Nimda is so old... You're smarter than that, or you wouldn't be here. "How many times do I have to flush before you go away?" - Megan Forbes, on Management (12/5/2002)

So I had to uninstall it ! Smitha Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk, my first instinct is to laugh. But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me. Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny.

Ouch! Norton is about as rotten a program as I've ever found, as it destroys most of the PCs it's installed on. But if you are lucky enough to make it work at all, it works really well. I've never heard of it damaging VC++ files, though. What a drag!:( "How many times do I have to flush before you go away?" - Megan Forbes, on Management (12/5/2002)

This actually acur when you work from a network drive in win2k NAV cuts the thread that your machine established with the networkdrive. If you are in the midle of a compile session your cpp file may be damage or lost :-( /Jarek He believed the commercials that said drink beer, get laid but at closin' time he was alone, he didn't get paid. That sucks! If you disable real-time protection while you're actively working on a project, will that prevent this from happening? Not an ideal solution, if it works, because some clown on the network might be downloading a virus from the Internet while you're compiling with the protection turned off. But it might be worth the risk to get some work done!:) "How many times do I have to flush before you go away?" - Megan Forbes, on Management (12/5/2002)
