YES! [Hides under the table] ... [Comes out] No, not really :-D Edit: Although my experience with female devs (I've only met 3 so far, and they were actually good devs. And I mean good) was that they get along much better with men than women. Now, I could be mistaken. Time to meet more female engineers!

Do the Party and your proposal apply as well for the 2*106th post? (I'm assuming it hasn't been reached, and if it has, its poster is not DD :-D )

106 members would be 1,000,000 and that happened a LONG time ago.

I've met a few up to now, and they follow the same range of abilities as men: from the very good to the hopelessly incompetent... :sigh:

I believe you are a very lucky man then! Not because you have more than 2 female friends, but because you can call your wife and daughters "friends"  EDIT: And actually take them to a CP party  For that alone, have a 5!

Well, I'm perfectly aware that I can't draw a conclusion based on the 3 I've met, I'm just saying I didn't have the bad luck of meeting the hopelessly incompetent (although that will most likely change next year when my future wife gets her CS degree   )

The first one I met professionally (i.e. outside Uni) joined the company I worked for, and was hopelessly incompetent. At the time (and I was young and very, very stupid) I though it was probably because she had lady bumps. To reach this conclusion I had to ignore the fact that my girlfriend of the time had been on my course at Uni, got a First, and was working at CERN while I was still in Hampshire... Look, I said I was stupid!

I don't think having lady bumps ever stopped a lady from thinking (or doing their jobs). Gentlemen however do tend to do that when they come across them
