I've always enjoyed watching the opening ceremonies for the Olympics, and I'm really looking forward to kicking back tonight to watch. I was curious, are any of you actually going to be there? I hear that it will feature one of the UK's greatest national treasures... sheep. ;P http://www.suntimes.com/sports/olympics/14029642-777/the-juicy-bits-a-sneak-peek-at-olympics-opening-ceremony.html[^]

Have you seen the price of tickets? :omg: £2012! Methinks they are extracting the urine...

They choose James Bond over The Doctor? Disappointing. Old cold-war propaganda about an alcoholic who crashes nice cars isn't quite in the Olympic spirit imho. The Chinese opening was all like: "yeaah, drums; look we invented paper; whoohoo look at our giant oled screen; now we do something that looks like it's mechanical but it's actually just humans in boxes moving incredible precision. Now, that was amazing. :)

              Giraffes are not real.

Sheep are not the UK's national treasures, only the Welsh.

I never knew you felt that the Welsh are the UK's national treasures! I will remind you of that at some point...

The Olympics are a complete waste of time and money.

Which nation will have the distinction of introducing sheep-shagging as an Olympic sport? Wales? New Zealand? Scotland?
