When I was still in school, the headmaster once called me to his office, because I "had a knife". Yes, I carried a Swiss army knife (not a very expensive one of course) so I showed that to him. Nope, can't have that. It's a weapon. Really? Yes, it has a blade. But I need it. No you don't. Well yes, I do, actually. What for? So I proceed to enumerate a fair number of uses, and he had an alternative solution for all of them. So fair enough, I didn't need it. But it was bloody useful, and I wasn't about to carry a whole fucking toolbox with me. True story. Lesson learned: "you don't need that" is a bullshit argument. You might not need it for any single reason, but it can still be the best solution in general.

Right tool for the right job. I have 2-3 swiss army knives and they are very useful.

I can recommend their Cybertool 29[^]. The bits holder fits those pesky little hex bolts that are used to fasten the ports on the computer chassis. That alone makes it worth the money.

Light moves faster than sound. That is why some people appear bright, until you hear them speak. List of common misconceptions

Nice tool I'll have to look and see what I've got they've been put away for my kids. I use and carry just a simple 3 blade Old Timer knife that I bought about 10 years ago.

Hmmm... When I was at school I always carried a Swiss Army Knife with me that my father bought me for my 8th birthday. It was useful for so many things and I would occasionally lend it to friends to sharpen pencils, etc. I even lent it to a teacher once to tighten some screws on the old projector. I remember him praising me for being "more prepared" than the others. Several of my friends had their parents buy one for them as a result. Oh for the good old days when kids trusted teachers and, just as important, teachers trusted the kids (a bit). ...and fathers bought their sons knives for practical purposes, not including murder. This was in the 60s-70s in England. My school still had Sabre and Fencing as sports along with Shooting and Shinty (a scary version of hockey, a bit like ice-hockey but played on dirt/grass - we played it on concrete). Surprisingly, there was no boxing or wrestling though.

            - Life in the fast lane is only fun if you live in a country with no speed limits. - Of all the things I have lost, it is my mind that I miss the most. - I vaguely remember having a good memory...
