Wow that article is horribly written and needs some basic math checking..."between 1.7 and 3.4 square kilometers" is no where near the size of "3 to 7 Spains". It's not even in the ballpark of one. Spain is 505,992 square kilometers. Unless the author meant "between 1.7 and 3.4 million square kilometers". And then I think it would have to weigh more than 3.5 tons (missing a "million" here too?).

Ignoring the errors in this poorly written article, I wonder how long it will be before some enterprising person tries to terra-form this "seventh continent" (I thought we had 7 continents already?), putting down some grass, plant a few trees, and then wire up the internet for uncontrolled web-hosting in a brand new country. My wife's grandfather was fond of saying, "Buy land, they aren't making any more of it." and yet it appears someone might just be (although the Dutch have been doing it for ages and the Japanese did it to build an airport upon).
- Life in the fast lane is only fun if you live in a country with no speed limits. - Of all the things I have lost, it is my mind that I miss the most. - I vaguely remember having a good memory...

As a note that specific site appears to be a random classroom project. I suspect there are more informative sites that describe what is happening with detail that is probably more correct. Also this is something that has been known about for probably 10 years at least.
