It most certainly does make my point. Gun control laws only disarm the law-abiding. Criminals, by their very nature, don't obey the law, so making laws concerning gun control are pointless.

Actually, it usually works out pretty well. This is an unusual (and terrible) incident. Generally speaking the police don't need guns because the vast majority (over 99% probably) of the people neither have access to or want a gun. Even if these poor girls had been carrying it looks like it was a trap and they may still have been killed. I also know that most police in the UK don't want to carry guns since they feel that will encourage criminals to use them, so heightening the risk. Yes, some criminals do and have always carried but most don't. What's stupid is making a stupid remark with little or no knowledge and making it sound like you're crowing over their deaths because it makes your point. Shame on you.

I asked Pete to remove the asshole bit because we don't call people asshole here on this site. It sets a bad example for the other members and sends them a message that calling people names is Okay. I have called other members here names before, as well. It ultimately served no beneficial purpose, and it was wrong.

I honestly appreciate the sentiment, but... I no longer vote on stuff, answer questions, nor post articles. I haven't even run Reputationator since December. I also don't post messages because I think people will like it. I post what I want, and with over 9 "million" users, what I post is bound to offend someone's sensitivities (mostly foreigners). If the thought zombies here want to vote, they should, by all means, take their hands off their dicks long enough to click their mouse - whatever blows up their skirt. I'm not a supporter of the touchy-feely new world order, and I refuse to let my individuality, freedom of thought, or natural rights be absorbed and diffused by the collective.
