      It's through the Windows Message Service, not through IM. Disable the message service and it will stop them. cheers, Chris Maunder

        Block port 139, I think. Net Send is actually a useful feature for Admins I guess. ( They could tell you that the building was on fire etc..) Possibly filtering out the messages that were from spoofed hosts would be a better idea. mmm, Idea for a new App. :-) Regardz Colin J Davies

              Webwasher. Proxy-something (some other program). Popupblocker. Try hitting TuCows or download.com and doing a search.

                  Go to Control Panel --> Admin Tools --> Services. Look for Messenger, change to disable.
