Mine is a rather splendid 1976 VW Type 2 Late Bay - Super Viking roof. We try to avoid country lanes as much as possible

Strictly the high seas for this one. ;P
The United States invariably does the right thing, after having exhausted every other alternative. -Winston Churchill America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between. -Oscar Wilde Wow, even the French showed a little more spine than that before they got their sh*t pushed in.[^] -Colin Mullikin

Not if it's still AC/DC.

My four-year-old granddaughter makes me happy, though she is truly far too smart and headstrong for her own good. On the other hand, it makes for very karma moments in regards to her mother, who was almost as smart and headstrong at the same age.

I can't top that, but finding a vendor last night that has had 3000 large rifle primers in stock, and buying them before anyone else could, comes very close...

It depends on who you ask. The lack of ammo is supposedly due to Homeland Security buying up 5 years' production on finished ammo, which drove manufacturers to tie up production facilities filling their order. But another aspect is panic buying and hoarding by gun owners who are sure that the commie cretin in office will succeed in banning all guns and ammo. The lack of reloading components is probably just fallout from these two influences - if you can't buy ammo, buy parts to make your own. That's why I'm reloading; I can't buy finished ammo anywhere. If it had been on the shelf when I went looking, I wouldn't be going this route, and instead of buying 40 rounds for a day at the range, I'll load 1,000 rounds just in case things don't calm down. If this was some grand conspiracy to disarm the American public, as some loonies claim, it's backfiring badly!
