Alligator River
-
First, read the story:
Once upon a time there was a young woman named Abigail. She was very much in love with a young man named Gregory, who lived on the opposite bank of a river teeming with hungry man- and woman-eating alligators. She wanted to cross the river to be with him, but unfortunately, the bridge across the river had been washed out. So Abigail went to ask Sinbad, a river boat captain, to take her across. "There's only one condition," he said. "First, you will have to sleep with me." Of course, she refused. She went to her friend Ivan, explained her situation, and asked for help. "Not me," he said. "I don't want to get involved in your problem." Seeing no other way, Abigail went back to Sinbad and met his conditions. True to his word, Sinbad then took her across the river to see Gregory. Gregory was very happy to see Abigail, and they spent an idyllic afternoon together. But when Abigail told him what she had done to get the use of Sinbad's boat, Gregory said, "What kind of woman are you to do such a thing?" And he left in a huff, saying he never wanted to see her again. Abigail went off crying and found Slug and told him everything that had happened. Slug, feeling sorry for Abigail, went and found Gregory and beat him to a pulp while Abigail looked on laughing.

Are the Alligators considered to be characters ? the minion
the minion wrote: Are the Alligators considered to be characters ? Only if they ate a clock, and they still tick. And they chase after little flying boys, with fairies, the boy not the alligator. Oh wait... that was a crocodile. So sorry, no, your alligators are not characters then. Maybe if they were pigs..... *ramble* *ramble* *ramble*

Cape Town, South Africa1 - Sinbad ...because I believe sex should be given freely, not coerced. He's asking for something that isn't his to ask for. 2 - Abigail ...because she's a hypocrite, and I hate hypocrites. If she truly didn't want to give up her 'sexual purity' she simply should not have done it. [Hey honey, I really wanted to spend time with you this weekend, but I had to sleep with your twin sister to get a ride. Aren't you glad I'm here? :) ] 3 - Slug ...for committing an act of violence on behalf of something that did not and should not concern him. 4 - Ivan ...for not helping out when he could, thereby 'pushing' Abigail towards a decision that she should not have had to make (even though she is fully responsible for her own actions). 5 - Gregory ...what in the world did he do?? His girlfriend cheated on him and he got the crap beat out of him because he wouldn't put up with her infidelity. -Sean ---- Shag a Lizard

Sinbad named his price. He didn't cheat in any way. Slug: he was the only one not caring about himself, but doing something he considered right for someone else. Abigail: Who says she gave it up lightly? Who says she claimed to keep her own purity over the joy of meeting Gregory? Ivan: a looser, IMO. But then: What should he have done, short of beating the crap out of Sinbad? Gregory: depending on _how she told him - wans't he just to much obsessed with "she's mine, and that includes her hole", and less with the time they were spending together? Not attacking you - just noticing how different things can be...
