THX sues apple over speaker tech We all know about Apple's tendancy to get very broad patents and then sue anybody who competes with them into the poorhouse. Taken from the page in the link above... The three-page lawsuit [PDF], filed in San Jose federal court, is slim on details. It simply says that most Apple products "incorporate narrow-profile speaker units that output sound through a duct or aperture having a narrow dimension." The patent at issue was granted in 2008.

Treat stressful situations like a dog, if you can't eat it, play with it or screw it, then just piss on it and walk away. Be careful which toes you step on today, they might be connected to the foot that kicks your butt tomorrow.

well that's my point, its an awful lot like somebody putting a patent on a rectangle with rounded corners.. and then suing for it.

What goes around, comes around. (But it has to be careful about the radius on the corners)
