I have been thinking of starting a blog. My question is, if it was You, would you create your own blog system or go with a cookie cutter? Any suggestions?

If I wanted to write a blog I'd go with Wordpress. If I wanted to write some code I'd write something other than a blogging system!

If it were me I would use http://blogengine.codeplex.com/[^] ;P And also, I'm writing my own blog for my home web page! :P (but it's far from full featured! but it's good MVC learning exercise!)

I was so impressed by its ease of use that I installed it on my website as soon as I learned that it was free. Then I discovered that I really haven't anything interesting to say. There it sits... Oh, well. :sigh:

Depends what you want to do. If you want to spend all your time on the blog system, and little time on producing quality content for the blog, go for it.
