I was just wandering about some other forums and kept watch of the amount of members displayed on top and noticed at one point it went down from 9,813,750 to 9,812,813. Even though that number is still about 1,000 more than when I last watched yesterday I think it's gonna be hard if it keeps going like this X| . PS: Just noticed it went down about 100 more

But what does 10,000,000 really mean? 90%+ are likely people who registered one time looking to get an answer to something and then never use the site again.

There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

That's what I was thinking as well.

The United States invariably does the right thing, after having exhausted every other alternative. -Winston Churchill America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between. -Oscar Wilde Wow, even the French showed a little more spine than that before they got their sh*t pushed in.[^] -Colin Mullikin

Yeah... or more probably just a lot of caching (as CM has somewhere indicated they have implemented almost everywhere where possible to reduce the server load ;) )

Heck I registered back in 2007, but only started actually posting last year and just now filled more fields in my profile, at this rate it will be 2020 when I publish an article or make any serious contribution ;P

Posting an article is also on my list. I've got a few ideas... However it's everything still early work in progress. and at the rate I'm working on it I might need another year or two to finish  (Somehow everytime I get home I forget every idea I had about it during the day or am just too lazy to boot the computer ;P)

That's probably what most people did. That's how I started, too, but you can't see that in my history anymore due to a ban in 2010.

It depends on how motivated the 200K actual members are; 200K * 50 accounts each = 10M Come on people let's get out and work it!

I've registered once or twice before, using work email, and forgot to look into removing that user when leaving the company in question. So a more meaningful metric would be how many users with more than some arbitrary (123, say) ranking points have been active the last arbitrary (1 year, say) time period.

Wow, I'm truly amazed.... ...that you actually believe that I have some beachfront property in Arizona for sale.

But we are quickly approaching member ID 10000000. I just checked the ID of the newest member and it is 9996309. Last week I estimated member ID 10000000 to be assigned either Thursday or Friday of this week. I am still going with that. Soren Madsen
