For several days SyFy channels has been running a trailer for their new movie premiering tonight. Sharknado seems to be about a whole bunch of sharks that have been swept up in a number of tornadoes that end up terrorizing Los Angeles. Who watches these things? http://entertainment.time.com/2013/07/10/the-64-best-seconds-of-the-sharknado-trailer-ranked[^] Anyway, to really get you ready for the new movie, they are airing all their bad shark movies. Right now it is Sharktopus (I believe Pete "enjoyed" this a while back), before that they were showing Malibu Shark Attack (a Tsunami releases pre-historic sharks :^) ). Yet to come today: Swamp Shark, Super Shark, Sharknado and 2-headed Shark Attack. Why?   Soren Madsen

Why? Because Eric Roberts needed the pay checks.

I have wondered the same thing. I generally do not watch the movies on SyFy just because of the horrible effects. Not to mention the "wonderful" acting or the awesome scripting....

I love them. They make me realize that, yes, I could indeed be an Actor. And let it go on record that if the SciFy network needs a Computer Programmer/Action Hero figure for a movie to get eaten by a shark then let me know. I'll work for cheap.

You have to remember that there are a lot of people out there to whom a typical reality show is the equivalent of high art and/or literature. As long as eyeballs are generally looking at the TV long enough to be captured by the regular sudden switch to a car/soap/insurance/medical commercial, that is all the sponsors care about.

Hey, a buck is a buck, if you are a poor out-of-work producer, you will take scraps to pay for the food on your table. The scraps you get for making the movie, however, mean that you have to scrimp somewhere.

That is true, the reality shows are really bad, after watching a few episodes of them, probably anything else seems like it is an emmy winning production.

Not just WWE, but how about pawn stars, American chopper, and any of the hundreds (I swear, it seems that many since I hate them, helped ruin the History Channel) of other reality shows.

Yeah, that is a really bad show. Cannot beleive it was renewed. If you go onto IMDB.com all you see are bad reviews, but the show gets highly rated!!!!! :omg: (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2070791/reviews?ref_=tt_urv[^]) Tell you something about the people who like the show, they don't know how to write anything.

If you ever watch SyFy on the weekends, the movies absolutely suck during the day, and then keep repeating them. I think SyFy now specializes in showing the movies nobody really wants to watch so they are really cheap. The movies keep repeating, so anything new in their lineup of really bad SciFi/Monster movies is an improvement. At least the old black and white SciFi movies were somewhat more amusing.

Ahhh, that is the 'Revolution' show - I have seen the trailers. I have not watched any of the episodes of either of those shows, so I can't really comment. Soren Madsen
