Let me put aside online University rankings, if you have any insight about it's quality, please share it here. In particular master's degree in software engineering has caught my interest. If you can compare them to some other educational institution, do it.

You might find this of use[^]. There is a huge reality/perception gap about universities on the Web, so getting advice on a site like that will probably be of more help. The University reputation is no guarantee of quality: Durham (one of the Best Unis in the UK), has a poor reputation for IT, whereas Teesside Uni (which has a relatively poor reputation compared to Durham), pumps out good IT degrees, so you need to be course specific.

I went to Doh Montfort (15 years ago). I enjoyed myself immensely. I have a poor degree. I am probably not a good person to ask for advice.

Thanks, this helps. I've been able to pull some information (and several other postgraduate programmes in CS,SWE or IT) from British Council's EducationUK portal. In the end it seams tuition fees will be all that matters. :(
