One of my pet hates is when those idiots on TV say so and so did something that changed the course of history it didn't, history occured and didnt change, had they not done it history would have still occured, you cannot change history by an action, you can only correct history, not change it grrrrrrrr

You cant outrun the world, but there is no harm in getting a head start Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Many Post Modernists believe that history can indeed be changed, after the fact as it were, and that this happens all the time. For example a Mr T Bliar could be telling a lie today but tomorrow history gets altered and now he didn't tell a lie as it was retroactively made true. Personally I think this kind of thinking is a mental illness but apparently up to 50% of those under 35 in the UK think like this :omg:

Think of it this way: if you had had 10 upvotes on it, would you have got -240 points?

Oops! I may have to declare I am guilty as charged, but it was not intentional and therefore no malice was intended. Let me offer to redeem myself: If you can tell me in little words that I can understand how to delete a thread I may have started, they may transfer 10 of my points to you. :-D

I use IE10 on Win 8 Pro machine and I do get the hover effect. Must be some difference in our settings. I checked my Internet Options, but cannot see which setting it can be. Can send you images of my settings if you like?

Just make sure the "Profile popups" checkbox is ticked, it's right here at the top of the messages tree, in the orange bar (you must click the "Update" button at the rightmost corner after changing any settings).
