I have a web app on server A that I designed to modify a file on server B, but I get an access denied error. Since the IUSR_MachineName account is depricated - what permission do I use to get server A access to server B?

You need to look at what account your app pool is using.

There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

        Read-permission. Seriously, I'd recommend a webservice with authentication :)
