Display Resources in a Sharepoint Calendar

I'm trying to use a Sharepoint Calendar to track the availability of Meeting Rooms. I've added the list of rooms to the Resource list and I've created a Calendar list with the 'Use this calendar for Resource Reservation' option set to 'Yes'. The problem is, every time I load the page, I have to manually select and add the resources. Is there any way to make them appear by default? Also, how can I ensure that a booking made by Person A is not deleted by Person B? I'm using Sharepoint 2010 Foundation.
