Windows Hardware

I have no idea if this is in any way possible but, I was wondering if it's possible to get the complete hardware list which is used when detecting new hardware, so all possible hardware supported by windows. I know microsoft has a hardware compatibility list online, but since hardware detection uses it also, it has to be somewhere inside the system, my question is Where and more important can I use it in my own programs
