First of all, I am sorry if it is a repost. I have checked the first pages before posting. I have found the link in a message here in CP and wanted to have a look because it can be useful for me to repair a self recorded piano concert of my girlfriend. I have just played a bit with it and it looks very promising. That's why I thought to share it. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/[^]

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

I actually have Audacity tied into another project of mine for playing audio in various formats. It's definitely a neat tool.

WavePad is an easy-to-use audio editor you can use to record and edit audio. RecordPad is a general audio recording program to quickly and easily record sound on your computer. http://www.nch.com.au/software/soundrec.html[^]

Audacity is open source... that other project isn't... besides, that looks like it's really aimed at music production, which is not what I use Audacity for.

Audacity is a fortunate gateway into minor editing and introduction to basic tools for anyone who really wishes to do anything with music, sounds, and even just creating ringtones.

I used Audacity, but find OcenAudio easier to use. See here[^]

In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.
