My salary deposited, with bonus this is the best feeling save some, send some to parents. Have fun, chill out. Come home have a beer or what ever. The best thing is that i have a lot with me now when i quit smoking. Smoking 20 a day was like: 20 * 8 = 160 Rs a day was like 160 * 30 = 4800 Rs per month. Whats the point in wasting 5000 Rs a month on smoking. I wonder how much i wasted an year: 5000 * 12 = 60k an year just on cigarettes? Just imagine i could save that much money in a fixed deposit. Ohh i am almost out of it:cool:. Sometimes i wish i dint even smoke a single cigarette. But its 2-3 a week, like half a day. Need to improve. Please give some suggestions. I have cut down even drinking, its like once a week: (2-3 pegs on saturdays), but i had some today(hey OG if you are reading this i wanted to try what you spoke about, but not in town) again:-\. As someone has said: "Drink when you are happy not when you are sad" so i just had a little fun today  . I hope i have not posted something which should not be posted. And if so i apologize.

Great to here that you reduced your smoking. You just need to find a balance between acceptable pleasure and health & finance risks (meaning 2 or 3 a week sounds reasonable). Here in France, smoking a package/a day cost you about 25,800Rs a month. The package is 860Rs. So people who quit smoking _really_ saves money.

Yep, but the picture was taken as I subscribed to CodeProject, so ... about 10 years ago, so now she's an old lady.

In the UK, it seems to be around £7 for a pack of 20: 250R (And likely to rise in a month or two, there is a Budget due which always raises Tobacco and Alcohol taxes) So per year that would be ~ 90,000R I'm glad I gave up!
