Ukraine is a powder keg by the way

In the west, ethinc Germans (they migrated there centuries ago). In the east, Russians. They have separate languages, separate cultures, and different loyalties: In WWII western Ukrainians joined the German forces to fight the Russians. And today, the EU, headed by Germany, is fighting with Russia for the Ukraine.... There's a lot of bad blood there, its a powder keg waiting to go off.

The Ukrainian Navy is well equipped. The out-going President has a Spanish galleon in his presidential compound. If Putin does send in troops, we in the west will stamp our feet and holler "Foul play". It remains to see what he does. I did notice on the news there was some nice totty on duty in Independence Square. That's my view (left-field) from here in Crawley.
If there is one thing more dangerous than getting between a bear and her cubs it's getting between my wife and her chocolate.

You just know it's going to be trouble when the protesters man the barricades armed with real grenades rather than Molotov Cocktails...the BBC news showed one cop getting his foot blown off trying to kick one away... X| But I did find it amusing to hear yesterday that Traffic Cops are patrolling in Kiev, provided they are escorted by protesters! :laugh:

what about the twit with an air rifle that was wandering about last week at the height of the troubles! I mean unarmed people were being shot and he has an air rifle? what was he thinking! (only thing I can come up with is "shoot me, shoot me")
