Love that show, very funny. Or it was until this season when it seems to have jumped the shark a little bit. So I was surprised to see that it has been renewed for another three seasons. I wish them luck and hope they start to employ some funnier writers. In any case, if it wasn't for Sheldon there would be no program at all.

I liked it until it became a traditional mass market sitcom. Now it is 100% relationship with a hint of geek.

I used to love watching it but haven't seen a show since about this time last year.
Along with Antimatter and Dark Matter they've discovered the existence of Doesn't Matter which appears to have no effect on the universe whatsoever!

I was never able to get passed the laugh track. I think it had something to do with my 5.1 sound system. The laugh track was crazy loud on surround and just made most scenes awkward and annoying. I never noticed it on other sitcoms though. Just Big Bang. I have a different set up now (sound bar) so maybe I should see if it bothers me as much. Most people I talk with go on and on about how funny it is. It was always hard for me to find it funny with the awkward pauses and abnormally loud laughter.
Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet. The interesting thing about software is it can not reproduce, until it can.

The difficult we do right away... ...the impossible takes slightly longer.

I like it and still watch it, but I have noticed that all the plots and jokes seem to center around sex. Like 95%.

I also like the show. And after 7 years you can't expect the same level of humor as the first season. But they still have really funny episodes after every 2-3 not-so-funny episodes. I think they now have too many characters and half of them are not as well written as Sheldon's character. Same thing is happening with 'How I met your mother'. IMO any TV show that runs past 5 seasons will go downhill.

I also like the show. And after 7 years you can't expect the same level of humor as the first season. But they still have really funny episodes after every 2-3 not-so-funny episodes. You are right. I am on 5th season, and it's already feeling weaker. And now I don't even care about the reveal. And after this ends, they are going to start a spinoff 'How I met your Father'.
