            i like the 'prophecy' angle: on the eve of war with Iraq, a comet falls across the leader's home land (state). the comet is actually the Columbia, carrying an Israeli pilot who bombed an Iraqi nuclear plant. debris falls onto a city called Palestine, Texas. in earlier days, such an omen would be taken quite seriously. -c

                        It's perhaps not so false. I've heard info saying some of the astronauts survived in an intact part of the shuttle cabin till the impact on the Ocean.

                          I know where he got this one from. The front section of Challenger had reinforcement in case of damage to the rear section and the crew had emergency breathing sets. When NASA found the breathing sets they discovered that the crew had been using them during the time it took the cabin section to impact. There was air left in the breather sets. :(( Elaine The tigress is here :-D
