You know, I'd never even considered wireless. Nice.

They work well, even from a distance. I really like them.

If it's not broken, fix it until it is

I also have this,[^] and there is no interference with the headset. The USB plugs looks the same so you gotta know which one is the headset, but it's not really a problem

I'm looking for a good headset with microphone. I really need one that gives good audio fidelity and where speech will be rendered cleanly with minimal background noise. The kicker is, I'm going to be using this on an Ultrabook without a microphone input - so what I really need is for it to be USB. I'm not that bothered about cost, it's the quality that is important.

I had a logitech one for my OU courses. It worked well (until I broke it....) http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/voip-headsets[^]

Wouldn't you have you shout pretty loud if you were using it from a distance? :)

With wireless it's good to check it out in its environment to see if interference is a problem. At my previous office my wireless headset was "totes awes" (as I believe the yoof of today are wont to espouse) but, in my new residence, it tends to sound like I'm in a snake pit, with a noticeable background hissssssssss. I did have some headphones that were wired OR wireless - but not terribly good quality, hence they broke when I sat on them - but that's what I would go for in the future if the budget allowed. this one[^] is the nly one I found with a quick google - but apparently not yet available. Being bluetooth interference tends to be lower, and you can use it with your phone, which gives you a huge cool bonus on the bus.

Hi Pete, This excommunicate really likes the LogiTech G930's. USB, Full over-the-ears, sound quality very good. Fold-down microphone auto-on when lowered [^]. cheers, Bill

If you're really not bothered by cost you can have a look at this one[^]. Comes with detachable USB-DAC. Sadly not available as yet. :(

I know this is an old debate, but as someone working a lot on the phone at work, I declined the offer of having a source of wave emission that close to my brain.

If you are more concern about the clarity of the microphone then try Samson USB Microphone[^] (And if you are OK with spending few extra $$$ then get the 'pop filter' ~$20.00), And for headset just get any USB / Bluetooth enabled headset. Oh and since now you have a studio, don't forget to share the link of your Podcast. ;)

It's not for that. I'm now an author for Pluralsight and I'm writing a course for them on using the new Intel RealSense (Perceptual Computing) SDK. I need the headset for my demonstration of voice, face and gesture recognition.
