So, for the past few years I haven't been out to go shooting. Partly because I have been busy and partly because I haven't been able to find .22 or 9mm ammo in the stores. Sure, I could find 12 gauge and 5.56mm no problem, but when I want to go shoot, I would prefer to go the entire day and not spend a fortune. My fiance works with a guy who has a second job at a sporting goods store. So whenever it comes in, I will know that day. Apparently this information was accompanied by an amusing story. Customer came in and asks if they have any. When told no, he started complaining about the gov buying it all blah blah blah. The dept manager politely but firmly informed him that the government had nothing to do with it. It was the preppers hording it all, they have a network. Someone checks the stores on a daily basis, when they spot it, a post goes out and they all swarm in to buy it up. Then the manager asked if that really made any sense. If the gov wanted to take you out, they wouldn't send troops. They would use a drone, and can you imagine a bunch of guys out on top of their houses watching the skies with .22 rifles? Needless to say, the customer huffed at him and left the store. This was a long winded post to say that the preppers are finally running out of either money or space to store the ammunition and the stores are finally getting it back in stock. The price is a little higher than it has been, but I should once again get to go plinking.

Eventually they either die or start taking their meds again. In both cases they stop buying.
