Deactivated Facebook

I did that about twenty minutes after I signed up for it...and I haven't been back, though I keep getting "friend requests" from people I've never heard of...

Yes, that's what I did. It has been two days and I and my internet usage has already reduced. I will go back to it in a while but for now, I do not really miss it. So, if I post any crap apart from that in my previous posts and this one, you know you can blame FB.

I'm not a big fan of FB, however every once and a while it does prove to be useful. Found out today that a friend passed away over the weekend. Not someone I frequently see any more so it otherwise would have been a long time to find out otherwise.
Common sense is admitting there is cause and effect and that you can exert some control over what you understand.

You really got my hopes up for a sec. I just checked, and the site's still up. So what do you mean, you "deactivated Facebook"?

It's never really gone. Even deactivated, it's a click away. The only thing that you can really change is your own behavior. :) Good luck! Marc

I just deactivated my account for few days.

I didn't deactivate it, just never used it, until I realized that most of the news about my family from my family was first reported on one of their walls, so I now at least check it regularly to make sure my family isn't doing anything too gloomy (I mean you, stepson!)
