Just finished 24hrs Accounts exam. Phewww.. In paper, it was mentioned, that exam can be easily completed in 3hrs and there is no one in the whole MBA classroom who could finish it in less than 20 hrs. How on earth can anyone say it can be done in 3hrs. Need a sleep now and stuck at work...

How do 24 hour exams work? Is it split up over a period of days or something?

I think my longest undergraduate exam, back in 1992, was 4 hours long and that felt like a marathon. How is it possible to have a 24 hour exam?

Well it's a distance exam. Basically paper is released on set time on a day and you need to submit it within 24 hr. It includes proper comparative financial analysis of a given company and couple of more analyzing questions based on investment etc. It may sound easy as one can do it while at home but this was the toughest one I ever encountered. The most productive 24 hours i ever had..lol

The toughest exams I had to take were the written PhD qualifying exams. 3 exams, 4 hours each, spread over 3 days. That's still only 12 hours total. That must have been one hard exam!

Be glad it wasn't a proctological exam. ;P

..spanning multiple days, not 24 hours straight.

Thanks - that makes sense of it all. In the UK an exam would be generally considered as one sitting.
