vs2013 weird typing issues...

hey guys not sure if i'm going mad or vs2013 is really weird but... i have an html file that serves as the master page for other pages, and in it there are several script includes like:

thing is, when i start to type another tag to include another file in between the 2 above, as i type the closing double-quote of the text/javascript, the vs editor suddenly pulls the line below up onto this line, removes the opening "<div style="border-removed1px solid #006;padding:0px;margin:0px;color:#006;"> <small><i>"mostly watching the human race is like watching dogs watch tv ... they see the pictures move but the meaning escapes them"</i></small> </div></div></x-turndown>
