    Q: Why do programmers always mix up Halloween and Christmas? A: Because Oct 31 == Dec 25 Q. How long does it take for Richard and Jeron to screw in a light bulb? A. I don't know, lets put them in a light bulb and find out! :-D Possibly the speed of light?

      Hey, it's only been four months[^] since that one was posted! You're supposed to wait at least six months. ;P It was first posted to the Lounge in July 2001. It's so old, links to the first copies in the Lounge don't work, and it even pre-dates Leslie!

        A quick search of "Oct 31" turns up the first 42 times this one has been told.

        "the debugger doesn't tell me anything because this code compiles just fine" - random QA comment "Facebook is where you tell lies to your friends. Twitter is where you tell the truth to strangers." - chriselst
