              It would still produce neutron radiation that would weaken all the components and make them radioactive.

                But the thought of being able to make a small, self-contained, nuclear reactor that eliminates some waste is still cool. Just imagine what the future will be like in 100 years of this.

                  Maybe they mean "fusion" in the way restaurants use it -- i.e. they've finally figured out how to build a hybrid truck. That sounds a lot more believable.
