Lets see what happens with Pakistan. If we lose than Pakistan goes to super six with more points than us (unless it gets defeated by Zim) Best thing for us now will be:- Zim defeat Pak Eng defeat Aus In that case we can ignore our match with Pak. If we do win with Pak we would like Eng to defeat Aus. Sachin is under good form so far but he has been successful too many times. I am tense that he may fail with Pak.

Without a pen and paper at least. So I'll ask you, instead of putting more strain on my feeble brain, since you seem to have a good command over what's happening and what should happen and when and how. Why would we like England to beat Australia if we beat Pakistan? Because we will have beaten both England and Pakistan, and lost to Australia, so what do we care who goes into the super six? Unless of course, we think we may not be able to repeat the performance with Pakistan if we play again. Rama Krishna wrote: Sachin is under good form so far but he has been successful too many times. I hope they keep their cool and just somehow play his overs off. Then there is Akram, another dangerous bowler. Man, this is going to be some match. More fireworks than in Diwali. The two teams will be playing each other after three years.

Check this site. Scenario C (I defeat E but lose to P) Likely points tally: A: 24, P: 16, I: 16, E: 12, Z: 12 Here too the qualifiers for the Super Six are easily determined. Once again A advance in great style with 12 points, P go up with 4+3 = 7 points (4 points by defeating India and 3 points from the other three wins). I advance, but with only 4 points (because they defeat E, Z, N and H). Summary: A (12), P (7) and I (4) in the Super Six Best scenario for Pakistan. http://www.rediff.com/wc2003/2003/feb/26bhogle.htm[^] Follow live World Cup Cricket scores here[^]

The Kenya team beat the West Indies once, and this time they beat the SL team. With time they'll get better. IMO the point of having the world cup tournament is not only to pick the world's best team, but also to let every team play with every other team. It's good for Cricket, and this is the only way new teams can learn. Because good teams rarely go to these places for tournaments. But if we get back at them for playing well, that's not encouraging others much.

Shoaib is constantly under stiff criticism by local media and there is a 40% chance that he will be dropped and Sami acting as a replacement.

If Pakistan enters super six they will become a strong contender for winning the world cup. In 1992 the performance by Pakistan team was not very good in the beginning but they picked up against their last match with NZ (which NZ delibreately lost) and the semi-final (NZ paid a price for delibrately losing). So defintely Pakistan cannot be taken lightly
