Where did the news go?

A couple weeks ago I noticed that the developer news that used to be on the lower right of the main page of CP was no longer there. Where did it go? I liked that feature... "We will thrive in the new environment, leaping across space and time, everywhere and nowhere, like air or radiation, redundant, self-replicating, and always evolving." -unspecified individual

A while ago I remember seeing some posts about the newsfeed no longer working. So, I took a look at the newsfeed, and it was indeed broken. The site CP was using for it apparently stopped serving it up, or wanted to charge for it or something. After a couple days with a broken newsfeed, Chris M. took it off the main page. Brian O. wrote: Where did it go? I liked that feature... I suspect Chris got sick of the nuts moaning about irrelevant and odd news stories appearing in it. So he pulled it until he can get a "better" feed.
