Seriously. I have encountered so many nonsensical posts here at Code Project, it either makes my LMAO  or it makes my cry. :(( Why doesn't some genius at CodeProject design a filtering algorithm that decides if the post first resembles ANY form of intelligence? I am certain that the mediators would love this idea.

The first thing they will do is tag and remove any post that contains more than one emoticon.

Depends on where the post is: most visitors don't realise that QA isn't for answers, it's an intelligence test. Post a question, and it gets sent to all future employers as part of the interview process.

I refer you to the following line at the top of this page: "For lazing about and discussing anything in a software developer's life that takes your fancy except programming questions" Not everything in the Lounge needs to be serious or "intelligent". Some lazing about and talking nonsense is allowed!

If that were printed at the top of every QA page, the problem would be 72% resolved!

Really? That is interesting. So there's a bunch of people on CodeProject being vetted by employers. You're right. I did not realize that. It sure explains why there are so many posts written by people that can barely communicate in English.

I wasn't trying to be serious, but I do try to demonstrate intelligence on a regular basis. Mostly my post was intended as a joke, since I don't think it would be possible to ever design an algorithm that could accurately evict nonsensical posts! :)

No, we can't detect intelligence, but we can certainly go the other way :) Have the geniuses at CP give us a choice of which filter to send our post through before posting.. valspeak, pig latin, Swedish chef.. the possibilities are endless.

We can program with only 1's, but if all you've got are zeros, you've got nothing.
