I can hardly keep control of windows 8.2 and it still manages to try to call home and I have to rely on my routers firewall as a last resort. No way will I allow microsoft to record me in my own lounge by switching the microphone on so I will keep pluging 8.2 or maybe go back to windows 7 or even jump ship to Linix even if microsoft offers to upgrade my pirate version for free. A better name for windows 10 would be Windows 1984 but thats just my view

Install OpenSUSE and run Windows from there if you want to play a game. Problem solved

is this OpenSUSE better than Utober or how ever you spell it ? I think i just need to make the switch and it's just me being lazzy for not doing it before now. Does it come with some type of VM-Ware to run windows and what version will it run. Will it run from a pen-drive I am not into running GUI from the comand line so can i get something like visual studio that works in Linix Time for me to go back school and just do it.

Different. "Better" is merely an opinion.

            Yes.

Yes. Google for "pendrivelinux" if you think that an OS should be on a pendrive.

"Something like", yes. But exactly like, no. OpenSUSE is "just another" linux fork, one that I personally happen to like. Ubuntu is the mainstream favorite. Both boot into a UI that should be recognizable. So, you're worried about Win10 calling home, but you do not worry enough to allow for a minor inconvenience? :-\ If you are paranoid enough you'll be wanting to own the source to each line of code on your machine. No, regardless of what you think, you are not paranoid enough :suss:

"So, you're worried about Win10 calling home, but you do not worry enough to allow for a minor inconvenience? " With windows I know what to watchout for better than most peope but will be a total dummy on Linux so it will take time. Plus me uses some special tools on windows that won't port over. Watching Youtube just now to see which distro to go for
