6 + 2 = 8 but so does 5 + 3. The way you do things is not always the only way to do them. Respect other people's way of thinking. ..

It's worth being aware that this type of post doesn't normally go over well, here in the Lounge. We're a pretty cynical bunch and posts like this have tended to attract a lot of negativity in the past. Just so you know.

If someone claims 2 + 2 equals 8, then I might point out the error. If the other person keeps insisting, then he will not be getting any respect. Sorry for that.

Checked the other way - it leads to more work, while the current path goes home...I'll stay on...

Not a fan of plus-ism, the right way is to use the negative: 745699.218967 - 745691.218967 = 8 Anything else just isn't cricket!

                            Why not write 8 as:

What does turning it sideways have to do with it?

The United States invariably does the right thing, after having exhausted every other alternative. -Winston Churchill America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between. -Oscar Wilde Wow, even the French showed a little more spine than that before they got their sh*t pushed in.[^] -Colin Mullikin

6 + 2 = 8 but so does 5 + 3. The way you do things is not always the only way to do them. Respect other people's way of thinking. ..

As Pterry taught us, what matters is that you never ever name it. 6+2, 2 times 4, whatever but don't name it directly.
