    Sonnet, published under the CCCOPL (CodeProject Creative CopyLeft Open Poetic License)

    NASA discovered that red Mars has waters;
    I suspect its tears of aliens' daughters,
    and, I wouldn't bet that Mars is all wet
    since it hasn't quite been announced yet

    And, if Mars' all chock full of moisture,
    why not archaeobacteria in dank pastures?

    But, for those who want to migrate there,
    I suggest you take an arsenal to prepare
    for whatever else hides in craters there

    Take atomics, and rocket-launch grenades,
    take deadly henbane and toxic nightshade,
    take death-metal, rap, facebook, twitter

    Take Boy-George, Bono, with Gary Glitter,
    enough drugs to obliviate feeling bitter

    «I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center» Kurt Vonnegut.

        I read "Spiders from Mars", which reminds me of an excellent 70's album by Mr Bowie :)

            My artesian source says it tastes like salty kool-aid, and he gets it straight from the subterranean aquifer.

              Ice and salt, who would have thunk it could be liquid in a cold environment? And how long would this liquid water exist?

                I would assume that's it's probably not safe to drink without a lot of purification, but I do not know enough about how science works to tell you.
