What are your thoughts on MS Edge browser?

I've been using it for about a month or so. I find that many of my favorite sites work just fine and appear to load fast (CP, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) but then if I stray and get sucked into something like a site with the top 17 funnies cat videos or whatnot, the pages are agonizingly slow. Probably partly due to Edge not have my beloved AdBlocker but is it really just that? Are others not seeing the hyped speed improvements too?
I use my hosts file to block ads. Yeah, it's gotta be updated periodically, but that's the price you pay for ad-free browsing...

Sucks. 1. Imported all my info from Chrome.. upside down. 2. When I click in the address bar and start typing.. I have to do that twice. 3. I try to 'Save As' and there is no 'Save As'.. Where'd that go?? Who's brainf@$t was that? 4. Why can't I go to the file it just downloaded? 5. Tried to add a bookmark down inside a folder.. nope. Only so many levels.. getting ugly! 6. So it locked up.. Chrome doesn't do that on the same site! 7. Video playback isn't smooth 8.. enough.

I'm using it on my Surface, but am annoyed that they don't have any of the touch gestures that even Chrome has there (like sweep across page to go back/forward). Even more annoying is that they also removed such gestures from IE in Windows 10. All in all Web browsing on Windows 10 is a worse experience than on Windows 8, and I think it is due to pushing us to Edge, and crippling IE on there to make sure we move. Other annoyances, cannot highlight text and right-click to search the web. As I recall History is broken as well. I'd say it is barely usable. I am mostly using Chrome now, which is ironic because on Windows 8 on that particular machine I used IE.

Right. Edge wins in comparison to IE but does it win when compared to other browsers?
I haven't installed Firefox or Chrome since I did a clean install of Windows 10 in early August. Since I've never used add blockers in any browser I can safely say that Edge is as fast or faster than any other browser I've used. If a site uses too many ads I simply click away from it or close the window.
