sometimes in (american) football, there's a play that goes very badly for the offense, and some unsuspecting defensive player miraculously ends up with the ball. after standing there bewildered for a second or two, not sure exactly what to do (since he's never had the ball before in a real game), he starts running downfield. while the (former) offense stands there equally as bewildered, not sure if a ref will throw a flag and stop the play, or if they should chase the guy with the ball, just in case. seconds tick by, then the offense realizes they can't catch the guy cause he's already 30 yeards downfield, and it looks like he's gonna score, no matter what anyone does. that's what this whole GWB presidency feels like, to me. somebody fumbled, GWB got the ball, but nobody on either side knew if the play was still legal. GWB wasn't sure either at first, but then he took off running. he got his chance thanks to a lucky call in an iffy situation and now he's halfway down the field and nobody knows what he's gonna do. he's not even sure what he's suppposed to do - he wasn't trained for this! so he's just running as fast as he can. will he score? will he trip over himself in his excitement? will he run into the crowd and kill a bunch of people? -c

His guy lost an election and he can't handle it. Plain & simple. Now he'll tell you all about brother Jeb in Florida and the "awful" Supreme Court and the silly Electoral College and all manner of other nonsense. He'll convieniently ignore the fact that every single post-election investigation of the Florida vote counts make Bush the winner. He'll ignore the fact that the Electoral College has been around for 200 years and whining about it after the fact is childish. He certainly won't point out the 100's of thousands of "bad" ballots in such Democratic strongholds as Chicago, LA, San Fransisco, Boston, etc... :mad: Later,

I highly doubt it, they might have reported it and looked into the proceedings but I don't think they did professional investigations.
