What you think of it ? I poundering to enroll for a MSc in IT on University of Liverpool[^], it's a 100% online course, there isn't any exams , only weekly assignments . If I choose this path , the course will have a duration of 18-24 months (normally) , and I will become deprived of +12450 € , to pay this I'll have to take a loan . What do you think ? Online IT Degrees are worthless or not ? In my case I'already have a bachelor's degree in IT , and obtaining a masters online is a good bet ? Any good englishman out there that can provide me with good information about the University of Liverpool ? Or anybody known any good online university ??? Cheers,Joao Vaz And if your dream is to care for your family, to put food on the table, to provide them with an education and a good home, then maybe suffering through an endless, pointless, boring job will seem to have purpose. And you will realize how even a rock can change the world, simply by remaining obstinately stationary.-Shog9 Remember just because a good thing comes to an end, doesn't mean that the next one can't be better.-Chris Meech

Well at the very least I can tell you that the tuition paid for some decent Web design people :D Cheers, Tom Archer, Inside C# Mainstream is just a word for the way things always have been -- just a middle-of-the-road, tow-the-line thing; a front for the Man serving up the same warmed-over slop he did yesterday and expecting you to say, "Thank you sir, may I have another?"

But I hope that the course is better than that :~ At least they offer a try-module free of charge , except the admission fee of 140 € . And Why would you want to know about the Uni if ur doing an online course? If you mean its reputation, it is a very good university in the Redbrick class. Not as high as Oxbridge, but way ahead of the 'riff-raff'. The Uni is well positioned just outside the main bussiness area of town with good transport links and loads of good bars down the road :-) As a city, I couldn't recommend a better one. Good nightlife, nice people, landmarks etc... plus its only 40mins away from Ireland :-D. Ok, I may be a tad biased. I have lived here my whole life. But IMHO, it simply rocks. Its one of the most popular Uni's in the country now, I'm thinking of going there :-) Plus, as far as I know its IT facilities are good. Hope this helps.

They are excellent universities and tend to be ones like Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds etc... I think there are 5-6 of them in the countries. The rest are the 'polytechnics made good' Uni's. They are not in the same league as the others and don't have much of a reputation. They tend to be the colleges and polytechnic schools that were termed 'Universities' by the education comittie/government. Basically, degrees from Oxbridge are worth the most (obviously depending on what course), then the degrees from redbricks, then the lower classes or Uni. I say again, Liverpool Uni is VERY good.
