Star Trek weekend...

So BBC America had a Star Trek marathon over the weekend with uncut, digitally re-mastered episodes. Got to see my 2 favorite episodes and the spin-off that never happened. Tomorrow is Yesterday[^] The City on the Edge of Forever[^] The spin-off that didn't happen... Assignment: Earth[^]

Doh! Nothing of sorts here. But I'll be arranging a Star Wars weekend this Saturday with my GF. Usually once a year we marathon Star Wars and another we marathon LOTR/The Hobbit. Rigorously the Extended Editions.

A few years ago, they released a DVD set with digitally re-mastered editions of all TOS. It was a wonderful trip down Memory Lane. :)
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack. --Winston Churchill

That would be a nice gift for my GF. She's an avid fan of TOS - in fact she likes Star Trek so much more than me!

If I suggested this to my wife, she'd be my ex-wife...

She suggested the Star Wars marathon :D. after I bought her 3 SW Funko Pops at the local Gamestop, where she wanted to enter. And we first met in a library... we're definetely a geeky couple! Also there is a shelf dedicated to various Star Wars, Star Trek and Doctor Who collectibles, plus one dedicated to LOTR/The Hobbit and Harry Potter... and another one, hers only, to Jane Austen. There is how our money go...

For me, both series go directly into the trash. Star Trek is a representation of a post beast system earth which has obtained faster than light travel. When the devil was the angel of light, but then fell to earth bringing down the speed of light. This is why we can see light within 6,000 years from galaxies billions of light years away. Star Trek also furthers the idea of a one world government representing humanity and the presence of humanoid aliens. The fact that all aliens we have seen are humanoid shapes are not surprising. The devil knows FTL travel is impossible at the current time, but humans are created in the image of God because we are created by Him and so are the demons who frequently represent themselves as aliens. The hobbit, what more needs to be said, little fairies prancing around using magic. GARBAGE

I just recently purchased the few Star Trek movies not in my collection. I have TOS, all 10 movies, plus the two reboots. I'm currently working on TNG. Not sure if I want the rest though. DS9 and Voyager were OK, but Enterprise just left me feeling blah.
When you are dead, you won't even know that you are dead. It's a pain only felt by others. Same thing when you are stupid.

Released, then re-released, then released again on Blu-ray, then the 50th Anniversary package, then they'll eventually be re-released again at 4K... I bought the very first ones they put out (2 episodes per DVD * 40 DVDs) and skipped every re-release they've made since. I've only recently placed an order on Amazon for the Blu-rays.

It was outstanding. I started watching these on Friday night and continued through yesterday. I think I drove my wife nuts. So many good episodes that it's hard to pick favorites.
