I think he's only talking about PI. Out of all the triple digit combos in PI, 666 is the most common. At least that's what I assume that's what he means
But you miss the big picture: why would anyone want to know that? If they're a religious fanatic, are they going to avoid and perhaps try to ban round things? The circle of life is innately evil? Wedding rings are part of a Satanic Rite (this may be true).
