Holy crap folks, this just in: "...coalition forces were throwing booby traps in the form of pens and pencils into Iraqi villages and townships"[^] WTF??? How does anyone take this crap seriously? This is like reading headlines from the National Enquirer (Enquiring Minds Want to Know)! How does any journalist (even the Arab ones) take stuff like this seriously? Next thing we'll be accused of is throwing rotting eggs and leaving Whoopee cushions behind. Idiots... ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! Real Mentats use only 100% pure, unfooled around with Sapho Juice(tm)!

It would be worth a giggle if it wasn't so serious. Jim Crafton wrote: How does any journalist (even the Arab ones) take stuff like this seriously? Well, I feel compelled to say, if the US wouldn't have played news bullshit in the first days, Al-Sahaf would be much less effective.

I kind of wonder about that - I have seen a number of this guy's (Saeed al-Sahaf ) statements, and they always strike me as being completely ourageous. Now I expect both sides to sling mud and make optimistic propaganda, but the degree to which Mr. Saeed al-Sahaf has seemed to take it has always struck me as kind of goofy. ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! Does that mean there once has been a non-stupid comment by me? The gross "cheating" in the first days destroyed all trust in US reports. So people like me have to look for other news sources. I assume you don't care what I think, so just read over my stupidity, ok?

That's kind of interesting - do you have any links explaining what actually happened? For example, the issue with the Iraqi missiles that were supposedly lauched at (or near) Kuwait in the first day or two. If this didn't take place what then happend? Was it faulty US missiles, and just goofs/friendly fire (this certainly wouldn't be the first time this has happened)? ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! On the rocket thing - what I found googling[^] (although they all sound very biased*): "Associated Press reported on March 22 that "Maj. Gen. Not trusting anyone is an easy, but destructive point of view - I don't want to take it anymore.
