Why I started in QA

The forums that I normally frequent here appear to be dying a slow, painful death. So, as I like to answer questions, I've been watching QA for a while to see what the tone is like of the people who are answering questions there. I have to say, things have certainly improved in there lately. So, I posted a couple of answers and that's been fine. The question I have to ask though, what happened to SAK?

"The forums that I normally frequent here appear to be dying a slow, painful death" Exactly. The Lounge has died, I mean why the fuck do we have to have daily CCC, MQOTD, thought of the day whatever. More to the point if someone misses their turn why the fuck remind them? The Lounge use to be good because of its spontaneity, you never knew what would be on there when you logged in. It use to be the first thing I did when I got to work. Now I even check Facebook before I come here. Somedays I dont even bother.

That has been asked before and only he might give an answer. He stopped answering questions last May but has still some activity if you look at his profile page. I guess we have to wait until 1st of April to know for sure that he has stopped participation definitely.

Ah, so it's the advertising and personal data collection & sale that you miss, what else is fb any good for since it sold out to business and advertising and personal data collection for sale to the highest bidders. Of course there are the pictures what people are having for lunch and dinner every damn day, and every baby, cat and dog that lives on their street. OK, also true some Aussies do use the lounge as their personal facebook, but luckily most visitors are smarter than that. Here it is: the lounge is not supposed to be like facebook, and inasmuch shouldn't be compared with it. OIOW: If facebook is your thing, then follow your own advice and "don't even bother" visiting the lounge.

It seems to be related to your account because it does not work too with this post. I tried it also with two other posts by you (one in Bugs&Sugs and one in the forum of one of your articles). There is already a thread in Bugs&Sugs. So we hopefully might can quote you in the future without doing it manually. :)
