I play the part of "The Computer Guy" for a local travel agent. He is starting up a new business, and has asked me to set up his computers/printers/ etc. I'd love to do it, as the money will be pretty decent, but my knowledge on networking, etc. is limited, and I'd like to read up a bit before I discuss the project with him, and accept it. Can someone point me to a good "Idiots guide to networking" site. Or offer up some things I might need to ask about before getting into it. Thanks! Ask and you shall recieve. I was hoping for some online references. But this may be worthwhile even if I don't take the job. BW "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts." - Bertrand Russell

Hello, the CPians around the world. ;) You seems to live in GreenVille in SC. My office is located in Atlanta, GA. If you need some consultant of the network, I can help you. I can make the network by Windows NT and 2000 as well as Linux (RedHat) DHCP server, modify the routing table, and more. Just let me know if you seriously need help. :) -Masaaki Onishi (eCoolSoft)- ASP.NET Web and Windows Application Development by C# and MFC. eCoolWebPanelBar(BETA) is availabe now. http://www.ecoolsoft.com
