Just learned that there are twice as many poor whites as blacks, and the whites seem to always complain about the poor blacks stealing from hard working American whites. Hypocrites as always.

If they don't know, they're not hypocrites but simply ignorant. "Hard working American whites" made me chuckle though; the land where five minutes of daytrading is considered "hard labor".

There are nearly 5 times as many white folk as there are black folk in the US so all things being equal there should be fives times as many poor whites... It might be this discrepancy that leads to some people complaining as they do. So it's not really hypocrisy as it is ignorance of the social dynamics and history that lead to chronic, multi-generational poverty.

So presumably he has also now learned something new.

Gee like I did not know that Whites were the majority in the US (about 60%) and that does not include the fact that the country has more than whites and blacks. The point is that there is that there seems to be this attitude that it is the blacks and other minorities that take advantage of ALL the handouts, whereas it is still mostly whites. If nothing else the election of that ass as POTUS certainly shows that.

Thing of the really big welfare systems in the US (and EU, too, I hear): farm supports and subsidies. Welfare by any other name . . . apparently doesn't count

US census 2007 to 2011: White poverty rate is around 12%, black is around 26%. Obviously a few years old, but that would indicate that the ratio is much higher than 2 white in poverty versus 1 black, in fact it would be 2 white poor for every black poor since there are about 4 times as many whites as blacks. Indians are at about 28%. The Whites are responsible for the situation for both groups. Interestingly the Hispanics are not as high as blacks.

Very true. The US complains about unfair trade policies, but the US subsidized quite a few industries, particularly farm and weapons. In the case of sweeteners, sugar cane, which is much better to make sweetener with than corn is heavily taxed. This also means that instead of trying to make Ethanol from sugar, the US is making it inefficiently with corn. At least in the case of weapons it does make buying them usually a bit cheaper. Another well protected area is pickup trucks. Wonder why Ford decided to drop all cars and concentrate on trucks. Just saw where Harley Davidson is considering moving production out of the US because of the trade war. Their sales are hurting so much already.

The EU is full of subsides (essentially every farmer in France, and there's currently serious unrest for EU farmers because they're being cut). Airbus - plenty of government help, there. Canada? 250% tariff on US Dairy (for example) - but bare in mind that the US doesn't subsidize dairy prices - it buys up dairy to increase the prices! China? Nothing in their financial system is real - just predatory trade and theft of intellectual property. Japan won't let anything into their country for which they cannot compete - like rice. The blocked US beef until Japanese set bought beef ranches in the US. None of the above justify one-another. Essentially, who'd dare stop and watch it's own system be over-run? Who's willing to go first? The trade war? It will hurt everyone - and the tariffs, which will increase consumer prices, is just a sleazy way to increase taxes through the back door. The real view of it all: everyone wants protection for themselves and it's unfair if anyone else gets them. And so, what else is new?

No duh, cite something to support your argument that "the whites seem to always complain about the poor blacks stealing from hard working American whites". Otherwise you're just being racist.

The reason for the higher incarceration rates is strongly tied to mandatory sentencing laws for drug charges that are the direct result of the ill fated War on Drugs. After 8 years of a black president with a couple black Attorneys General, explain how this is the fault of "whites". Or again, just prove yourself to be racist.

When did I say anything about incarceration rates. And what makes me racist? And as far as racism, the closet white Supremist coming out of the woodwork now that we have a bigoted president proves that there are quite a few racists in the US, but we knew that already since 50% of Americans hate Muslims and 25% hate Jews. And I was not saying anything about it being the fault of whites all I was stating is that quite a few whites seem to think that it is only blacks that get a free ride, them and the illegals. Of course they obviously are ignorant because illegals do not qualify for any federal benefits, and still have to pay taxes. The case of states vary by states.

It appears that not everybody agrees that Boeing does not get support:

The EU says it expects to strike a similar legal blow later this year in a parallel WTO case about U.S. support for Boeing, raising the prospect of a tit-for-tat sanctions battle.

They must think they have a case. Like so many other cases, the US is not that clean, but why do you think Boeing gives so many donations to various politicians.

I listed airbus, &etc., to point out the the original post to which I responded only seemed to point to the US as the guilty party.   The rest of the world certainly cheats as much - and in many cases (China, Japan come to mind, immediately), more.

"So what else is new?" - and this is done not just internally, but across national boundaries - for that, I can give a question - not an answer:   "Chickens and Eggs". If they don't (they meaning Airbus, Boeing, etc.), then the other side gets the edge. Buying off third-world politicians is a well established business. If you don't pay, they won't buy. And the above scenario really sucks. Ultimately, the rest of us pay for it.   What I object to is the US being singled out. Who's "buying" Africa, basically as we speak, for example? And don't forget the World Bank - using money to try to get political international power. So - are we having fun, yet?

This. These are prejudicial statements based on race, ergo racism.

Rather certain that Ford still makes cars so not sure what that means.

In the US it has announced that it will only make the mustang. There is some SUV also. Mustang is somewhat like a sports car, it has only 2 door. But you are right they have not quite dropped all. Part is because there is a tariff on pickup trucks of 25% which it why you do not see many Toyota pickup trucks. This is probably too bad for the consumer because there is a reason Honda and Toyota dominate the market, it is because US companies are not good at making what Americans was for what Americans are willing to pay if shown a product from a company from another country as an option unless there is a tariff. so much for capitalism, tariffs are not free market.

So who exactly is responsible for the following website then? New Cars from Ford® | Find the Best Car for You | Ford.com[^] And who exactly is promoting the following next year model car (and there are others)? Sleeker, Smarter 2019 Fusion Is First Ford with Standard Ford Co-Pilot360 Driver-Assist Technology, Greater Plug-In Hybrid Range | Ford Media Center[^] Ah I see, Ford made an announcement that in 3 years, not now, it will stop selling cars. Ford Focus Active, Mustang will be Ford's only cars by 2020; will stop making other sedans - CBS News[^] But that is the future, and until they haven't been selling them for say 5 years I wouldn't count on such market announcements, just as one shouldn't from any company.
