I also somewhat struggle to find the immeasurable cultural value of drag queens and those fine distinctions in attitudes. I also never heard of that event. Now I have, which is obviously the whole point.

On a serious note, as a developer I don't understand how this does not lead to some sort of endless recursion and consequently a stack overflow - people getting offended at other people dressing up in the same manner as the offended people that are taking offense at the people who are dressing up in the same manner... it's too much for my simple brain.
