I've just finished reading the excellent book 'The People Vs Tech: How the internet is killing democracy (and how we save it)' by Jamie Bartlett. It makes some excellent reading, and many of his points are well researched and should make us all think about where technology is taking us. Are we sleepwalking into a future where Facebook, Twitter et al will dictate what news we see, what we should think etc. I've written a couple of articles over on my blog covering similar ground. The People Vs Tech by Jamie Bartlett | PenguinRandomHouse.com: Books[^]

There is an episode of "The Orville" in season 1 that warns of the coming future where everything is governed by likes and dislikes of the masses. I can't remember the name of the episode - you'll just have to watch all of them!

Did you mean "Black Mirror?" Or are they the same thing. Anyways, that was a great episode! Season 3, episode 1: "Nosedive"
